Miracle?
奇跡？
A young man asked,
“Can you show me a miracle?”
“I’m looking at one right now,”
said an old woman calmly.
“What do you mean?” he replied.
“The fact that you are alive,
breathing, thinking, talking,
and listening, is a miracle.
The biggest miracle of all is
that you were born into this world.”
「奇跡を見せてくれますか？」
若い男はお願いしました。
「今、見つめているところですよ」
おばあさんは静かに言いました。
「どういう意味ですか？」
「あなたが生きているという事実、
つまり、息をして、考えて、話して、
聞いているという事自体が奇跡なの。
一番大きな奇跡はね、あなたが
この世に生まれてきたことなの。」
