All of us know, for sure,
that war is bad and peace is good.
Why do we use war metaphors, then?
War against cancer.
Battle against drugs.
Fight against poverty.
By repeating war metaphors,
we are slowly, but surely
brainwashed and desensitized
to the cruelty, violence, and agony of war!
